Windsor Residents Defeat 2007 Budget

In a repudiation of Democrat, "automatic" tax and spend methods, the citizens of Windsor defeated the proposed $87.9m budget in a referendum yesterday by more than a 2 to 1 margin. The YES votes totaled 1118 while the NO votes totaled 2352. Congratulations!

During the March 23, 2006 meeting of the Windsor Republican Town Committee (WRTC) Chairman David Raney, Secretary Ruth Jefferis and Treasurer Bruce J. Twambly were re-elected to serve for the 2006-2008 term. Steve Ellingwood was newly elected as the committee's Vice Chairman.
